Q. The paddocks were in straight lines while they were being drawn in, however, when I started to zoom out, lines rotated on 5 degree angle.
A. This is because it is near a zone boundary, and the change to the Lat/Long projection kicks in a little earlier compared to someone who is far from a zone boundary...the projection style changes when the view is about 150,000 km wide, but may be earlier when it looks like the displayed map will occupy several zones... also, the bend is more accentuated at the zone boundaries...
i.e. When the lines are view north/south, it's in the MGA projection (East/Northings), then when they bend, it's because it's switched to the GDA projection (Lats/Longs)
